Plunger tip

Copromec plunger tips are made of tempered and nitrided steel in order to guarantee a greater resistance to the impact of the alloy and the thermal shocks to which they are subjected.

On the front part of the plunger tip there are channels or holes in order to let the alloy flow and solidify under the copper ring, ensuring a costant seal between shot sleeve and ring. The front face of the plunger tip is supported by the support pin in order to provide better injection shocks.

Copromec plunger tips can have:

  • one or two rings;
  • protruding or flat front part;
  • holes or channels on the front;
  • presence or absence of a copper insert.
Depending on the use conditions and according customer specific requests, it is possible to make targeted modifications on standard plunger tips.
